Healing waters, mountain scenery and adventure around eManzana
eManzana, formerly Badplaas, is presented by MTPA as a getaway in the Dhlumudhlumu Mountains, with hot mineral baths and a family-resort activity base.
Hot mineral baths are the town’s signature water experience. The MTPA page also links the wider area with boating and jet-skiing at Vygeboom Dam and scuba diving at Komati Springs; these are separate venues.
The reviewed destination sources do not establish a dedicated birding route or hide at eManzana. Wildlife references should remain general and must not be confused with guaranteed sightings at private reserves.
Songimvelo and the wider region are associated in the MTPA account with archaeological stone circles and terraces attributed to the Bokoni people; interpretation and access require a responsible local guide or authority.
MTPA lists resort activities such as go-karting, putt-putt, paintball, zip-line and quad-bike experiences, as well as scuba diving at Komati Springs and horseback safaris in Songimvelo; current operators vary.
The Dhlumudhlumu Mountains form a bowl around the mineral baths. Songimvelo is described as Mpumalanga’s largest game reserve and a difficult, rough-terrain destination where horseback access is important.
The name eManzana is explained as “healing waters” in siSwati, while Badplaas remains a legacy tourism name in the official page URL and source copy. Use eManzana as the current node label and Badplaas only as an alias.
Do not merge resort facilities, Komati Springs, Vygeboom Dam or Songimvelo into one venue. Verify medical or bathing suitability, safety rules, permits, opening status and conservation guidance directly with each operator.
